The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR
Every once in a while, you come across one of those cars
that practically knocks you over with its energy. Cars that look unnatural in
Park, like they should constantly be in motion. This car just looks fast. Here at Keffer Mitsubishi,
the Lancer Evolution GSR model bowls us over every time with its fierce,
vivacious and speedy appearance. Can you imagine yourself driving around in
Gastonia, Mitsubishi Lancer flashing through the streets? Here’s a little more
info if you can’t quite visualize it yet…
With an aerodynamic body and sleek details like a rear wing
spoiler and tinted glass, the 2012
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR is the sports car that will impress your
friends. The 2 liter inline 4 cylinder DOHC engine
gets 291 horsepower, which power steering and all-wheel drive allow drivers to
handle with ease. And this car has the safety features to match its adventurous
side: 4-wheel ABS brakes, stability control, traction control (ABS and
driveline), head airbags, curtain first and second row airbags, passenger side
airbags, and a knee airbag for the driver.
Many sports cars
look great but aren’t that comfortable to get into: smaller, sleeker designs
often leave the door count at two. The Lancer Evolution GSR has four doors, so
you don’t have to deal with moving seats and climbing over people to get in.
We have new
models, but we have a few of the older Lancer Evolution GSR cars as well. So if
you’re looking for a sporty car and need to buy pre-owned, we’ve got you
covered! Around Charlotte, used Mitsubishi Lancer options may not be as plentiful as you’d like,
Keffer Mitsubishi’s vast inventory is bound to yield the perfect model for you.

Drive Away Pretentiousness With Mitsubishi
We all have that one friend. That person who is really
into him- or herself, carefully builds obscure hobbies and interests because they’re obscure, and has an
opinion on everything (even if
they’ve never heard of it before). That person, who is bad enough in real life,
also spams your Facebook news feed with self-important posts and ‘arty’
Instagram shots. That friend is what Mitsubishi would consider pretentious.
A new Mitsubishi application, Mitsubishi Unpretentious, is
taking matters into its own hands to provide Facebook users a little relief. Go
to mitsubishiunpretentious.com and have your friends list analyzed, then watch
the narcissistic get mowed down by a new 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Too
many murky, filtered vegan spinach cupcake photos in your news feed lately?
Sick of status updates threatening to unfriend anyone who’s never listened to
Fleet Foxes on vinyl? Mitsubishi has it covered.
Of course, you’d never wish a car accident on any of your
friends (even the most self-important) but the destruction of their
self-important Facebook profiles could be very satisfying. So satisfying, in
fact, that you may find yourself wanting your own real-life Mitsubishi to
un-pretentiously jump into. Head on down to see what we’ve got in stock. After
all, what’s less pretentious than driving a used
Mitsubishi Lancer? Hickory-area people sick of pomposity will find plenty of
options at Keffer
Mitsubishi. Around Hickory, Mitsubishi options abound, and our lot
is full of great deals: if you want an Outlander Sport of your own, we have new
2012 models in stock. If you’re looking for something a little more discreet,
the 2012 Mitsubishi Galant SE or a used 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer ES might be more
up your alley. Stop by today to find the right Mitsubishi for you!

Mitsubishi New e-Assist Active Safety Feature
Mitsubishi released information this week
about its new e-Assist Active Safety feature, which was designed to help keep
drivers safe in situations where accidents are more likely to happen (poor
visibility situations, bad weather, longer trips). The feature will be used for
the first time in the new Outlander SUV coming out in October in Japan. Though
far away from Japan, around Hickory,
Mitsubishi dealers are sitting up and paying attention
to this new development.
A camera mounted on the top of the
windshield (which can sense when water is on the windshield and automatically
start the windshield wipers!) and a millimeter- wavelength radar unit work
together to provide three key safety functions that are designed to prevent
common unsafe driving situations:
Adaptive Cruise Control System (ACC) This function uses radar to maintain a safe
distance between your car and the car in front of you, no matter how slowly
traffic is moving.
Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM): Also radar-based, this function automatically
applies the brakes when the distance between you and the car in front of you is
suddenly reduced.
Lane Departure Warning System (LDW): Last, but not least, this system is camera-based,
and helps you concentrate by alerting you when you’re drifting out of your
lane.
So
there you have it. Mitsubishi is using innovative technologies to address
common driving errors that many of us are guilty of. Even the most
conscientious of drivers can slip up, lose concentration or find themselves in
a freak situation. We’re only human…but luckily for us, Mitsubishi may have
cars for us in the future that are superhuman. We’re excited to see how the system
fares in October, and we’re sure that Hickory Mitsubishi enthusiasts in the
area are, too.
